SERNAGEOMIN REGIONAL DIRECTOR GIVES
MINE SAFETY PRESENTATION AT TRES VALLES

 

The presentation was part of a series of activities planned by the provincial authority of Choapa.


The director of the National Geology and Mining Service (Sernageomin) of the region of Coquimbo, Emilio Lazo Barrio, visited the Minera Tres Valles plant facilities on Tuesday, November 20. During his visit, he gave an informative presentation on mine safety.


In order to promote compliance with safety regulations in mining operations and improve the health and safety of those employed in the industry, the National Geology and Mining Service started a campaign called ” Four Main Causes of Accidents “. This was the central theme of the presentation developed by the authority.


The presentation was addressed to managers, superintendents, supervisors, and contractor representatives at Tres Valles. Together, they reflected on the importance of achieving the zero -accident challenge in order to promote safe working practices with the goal of positioning mining as one of the safest industries in Chile.
